Quick update!
the road keeps me busy
It’s been a lovely time on the road. Playing music almost every night and getting to open for Jeff has been amazing. I’ve been reviving a lot of the Mouthful of Glass material for this run- and slipping in a few new songs every night too. It’s been nice to get back into the songwriter headspace, and return to some of this older material with a new lens due to time. It’s reviving some dreams in me of reviving the Mouthful of Glass Orchestra (Have sheet music, will travel), and finally releasing the live recording. I’ve got a lot of music that I’ve been sitting on, unsure of where it should go, or when I should put it out, so its nice to be reminded that some things I’ve done have been truly special and should exist outside of myself.
Returning back to composition/instrumental music mode- I’m excited to say I will be doing a special show on December 3rd at Elastic Arts with the CLEAT system. CLEAT (Chicago Laboratory for Electro Acoustic Theater) is a 16-channel speaker system housed at Elastic Arts in Chicago. It is one of the most accessible multi-channel speaker systems in the USA, they provide ample time for rehearsal, and I am excited to be sharing the bill with Sen Morimoto for the night. I remixed “The World Doubles in Size” (my piece for last year’s Florasonic) for this system, and my friend Kim Alpert will be making video to play alongside it. I’ve been dabbling in multi-channel for the last few years, and it has been really exciting for me to learn how to mix this stuff myself. I will be doing a very limited tape release of this music and I’ll have it available on my Bandcamp page for a limited time as well.

I went to your show in Patchogue, and I was REALLY impressed. Hearing the songs on Youtube etc., I had no idea you were such a good guitarist. And the lyrics and vocals really came through too. The overtone singing was a nice surprise :) Are there any recordings of just you and the guitar? If I had a recording of that concert I'd listen to it a lot.
